This session will examine legal developments at both the state and national levels, with an emphasis on regulatory changes coming out of the new administration. 
Recertification Credit:
1. The ability to predict regulatory developments in the coming year
2. Integrating Minnesota state legal developments (including municipal ordinances) with federal law issues.
3. Coordinating sick leave and other PTO policies with federal, state and local requirements.

Our presenter is Alec Beck, Title Attorney at LAW, SPHR.  Alec has been practicing labor relations and human resources law for nearly thirty years.  He has been voted a "Super Lawyer" each of the past fourteen years, which represents the top 5% of attorneys in the State.  He is certified as a Labor and Employment Law Specialist by the Minnesota Bar Association and as a a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute.  He currently serves as the General Counsel to the Minnesota SHRM Executive Board.
