    Hear how to utilize innovative techniques to roll out the red carpet for new hires and increase productivity and retention! Today’s employees make up their minds quickly, so first impressions are more important than ever. There are three training styles and each individual responds best to one of them, these styles are discussed because it does get in the way!  Also, how to help experienced employees who coach these new hires!
     
    Mike Henke is a national speaker whose passion for building strong teams led to the creation of Mike Henke Inc. He works for organizations throughout the country in the areas of Leadership Training, Recruiting & Retention, and Positive Workplace Environments. Mike has created over 50 training programs, is a former SHRM Chapter President, and has been selected to present at 10 SHRM State Conferences, 7 Disrupt HR Events, and for 36 SHRM chapters!

    Event Description:

    This session will dig into the topic of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). What does DEI look like today and in the future in the workplace? Lets have a conversation!

    Kevin blends a background in psychology, social work, and communications to his role as the diversity, equity, and inclusion director with CLA. In this position, he operates as a strategic partner with leaders and employees to design and execute employee engagement initiatives focused on building a culture where everyone has opportunity.
     
    Kevin leads the strategy for the DEI council, 275+ local DEI Ambassadors, and eight virtual belonging communities. He is a recognized facilitator and educator.

    Prior to CLA, Kevin worked as a learning and development professional with JPMorganChase. He started his career as a social worker focusing on adults with disabilities. As an artist, Kevin is a storyteller who uses puppet theatre to engage the public around complex issues (housing, racism, power). He enjoys swimming, the cat, and dancing.
