We will have a table discussion on
Hiring Felons, the do's and dont's.
Our facilitator will be Nicole Degidio from the MN Dept of Corrections and a fellow co-worker. Nicole specializes in Juveniles, her co-worker will specialize in Adult felons. Both will be able to share their professional and personal experiences in reintroducing offenders back to society and into the workforce.
5 questions to discuss:
- Limitations on what a potential employer can ask.
- Legalities of hiring felons.
- Industries that cannot hire felons.
- Are certain "types" of felons better hires?
- Are there programs out there to help with cost share in training felons?
